Shake it up, baby!

I tried a unique milkshake recipe a few weeks ago that I found in the June issue of Whole Living magazine (formerly Body + Soul).  With only 4 ingredients, this recipe is easy peasy, not to mention delicious!

Avocado and Mango Milkshake

Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 1 mango, peeled, pitted, and coarsely chopped
  • 1 pint low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup low-fat milk
  • Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth, adding more milk to thin if desired.

    I will tell you, be sure to have some friends over when you try this because it makes a pretty decent amount of milkshake and this stuff is RICH, not to mention beautiful in color, naturally sweet, and super thick.  Between a friend and I, we were able to get through about half of it but had to dump the rest down the drain since avocado oxidizes so quickly.
